Spring Online Best Event Awards Ceremony 2011

On Monday 5 September 2011 we held our Spring Online 2011 Awards Ceremony at the Palace of Westminster.

Hosted by the Right Hon. Iain Duncan Smith MP, Secretary of State for the Department of Work and Pensions the Awards recognised the successful participation of our event holders in 2011 who were shortlisted by our judges based on their originality, enthusiasm and the scope, reach and impact of their event.

The event also celebrated ten successful years of Silver Surfers’ Day (with a hugemongous cake!) and was attended by  Spring Online event holders, past and present, representatives from Government departments, organisations active in the digital inclusion arena and supporters and friends of the Spring Online campaign.

The six winning organisations received awards from the Secretary of State and Emma Solomon, our Managing Director. Read more here about their events and their uplifting learner stories.  Why not take a look at our Spring Online / Silver Surfers’ Day video too on our YouTube channel.
